It was a pleasure today to join representatives from users, the Deputy Lord Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent and our local MP as the new 'Changing Place' was officially opened at Meir Park Community Hall. This was alongside the opening of the new toilets, a project partially funded by Heritage Lottery.
Meir Park Community Hall has been run by Love Stoke Church now for a number of years, who have carried out an assortment of improvements in recent years including the addition of the Love Coffee cafe. The toilets were tired and in need of an overhaul, and the 'Changing Place' is a welcome addition, one of only a small number in the city.
Having helped to keep the community hall over 10 years ago, it's always a pleasure to return, and brilliant to see it going from strength to strength.
