Fighting the Scourge of Modern Day Slavery in Stoke-on-Trent

A few months ago, the elected members of Stoke-on-Trent City Council united to support a motion calling for the end of Modern Day Slavery and Human Trafficking in our city. This is an issue that people are increasingly aware of, and something I had already started to consider as part my portfolio. As a result, this week I have presented a report to Cabinet outlining our Modern Day Slavery & Human Trafficking Statement and how we will embed this within the organisation.

There has been considerable coverage of this report, including this article in the Sentinel, and this interview on Radio Stoke. It is also part of this interview on Cross Rhythms community radio.
