Growing the Local Economy

You might recall this little piece on our recent work to keep the Stoke pound in Stoke. Interesting today to see that my tweets about council services have been joined up in this Sentinel article talking about local economic growth, and the council’s ability to influence and support it, and what other areas are doing.

There’s a bit less song and dance about it in Stoke-on-Trent, but having smashed the 50% barrier last year in terms of local spend, I am amused to see other areas that did far less being highlighted to ‘encourage’ us... There’s only one Stoke-on-Trent and it’s definitely on the up!
