Would have been hard to pick worse weather for the visit today of a delegation from the Heathrow Hub project to see Stoke-on-Trent, where we have two sites in the long list for this internationally significant project. Key to the potential development of a third runway at Heathrow is proving the regional impact of the £16bn project, and having offsite construction hubs in the Regions is part of that plan.
In the 65 location long list are two sites within the Ceramic Valley Enterprise Zone, the project I have led from bid right through to delivery, so it’s great to see the quality of our developments represented here with the inclusion of sites at Highgate Ravensdale and Chatterley Valley West. There is currently a rail hub being developed at Highgate Ravensdale, however both sites are well located and have lots of potential.
We expect to hear whether we have made it through to the next stage later in the year.
