Brilliant news today that we have made it through to shortlisting stage for the Channel 4 creative hubs. This comes on the back of the decision by Channel 4 to relocate its HQ out of London, as well as creating 2 regional creative hubs. Stoke-on-Trent was one of the number of locations to submit expressions of interest, and it’s fab to get through to the shortlisting stage as part of a real quality list of cities.
Our bid has pulled together local stakeholders as well as the growing moving image and digital sector in the city, including Platform, who were recently named as part of the Creative England top 50 leaders and innovators. Showing what class the Stoke-on-Trent area has in this field, Platform was also joined by local animators Carse & Waterman, Oscar winner Rachel Shenton, and Staffordshire-based Enlighten.
