Cracking Down on Blue Badge Fraud

One of the less known roles that Stoke-on-Trent City Council fulfils is around audit and fraud. Recent changes mean that housing benefit fraud is now investigated by the Department of Work & Pensions, which means that councils have more scope to pursue other instances of fraud. Misuse of blue badges has been our focus in recent weeks, especially in the run up to Christmas. Here’s a little piece from the Sentinel on our current campaign.
