Wednesday’s budget saw not only the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, call Stoke-on-Trent ‘the crucible’ of the UK, but also saw our ambitious infrastructure plans name checked by the Chancellor.
Our involvement in the Transforming Cities Fund scheme opens the way for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to change and improve public transport across the city, supporting residents to have a better quality of life, and bring more jobs and businesses to the city. Our plans include bringing forward a multimodal transport hub near Stoke Station and opening the door to an improved station offer for the 3m+ people who use it every year.
