It continues to be brilliant to go out and see the fab projects that the Community Investment Fund I launched a few years is supporting. On Friday I visited Our Lady’s Catholic Academy in Fenton who have used the CIF to transform a difficult part of their school site into a community garden, complete with stage, prayer area and vegetable patch! Despite the weather becoming cooler, it was great to see the children exploring and enjoying the space, and I know they will get lots of enjoyment from using it. It was also a pleasure to meet the Polish School who use the same buildings on a Saturday. We pride ourselves on being a friendly city, and meeting the teachers and hearing about how they are involved with the local community in Fenton was inspiring.
